LA BA Celebration (aka. Bodhi Day, Rohatsu, Vesak, 臘八節)this past Sunday (01/13), which is a traditional Chinese holiday observed on the 8th day of the twelfth month of the lunar calendar, which celebrates and commemorates Siddhartha Gautama Buddha's Enlightenment at the age of 35. Coincidentally, this date also marks Buddha Jigong’s birthday as Lee Shio Yuan. Today consisted of our group gathering followed by the recitation of The Great Compassion Mantra 108 times along with two other sutras, and concluding the day with food and talks. @ Buddha Jigong House of Enlightenment
